‘Easy as’ general timber connector

The Timba Tie was designed in NZ by David Reid, a typical kiwi builder frustrated with using “z nail” or “wire dogs”. We hope you find them as easy to use as he does.

  • The Timba Tie is an acceptable alternative to ordinary pile to bearer connection (figure 6.3c) NZS3604 and purlin to rafter connection (joint T table 2.2 NZS3604).
  • Each tie can be used for left or right fixing instead of the traditional “z nail” or “wire dog”.
  • Available in Galvanised Steel and 304 Stainless Steel. Each pack of 50 ties comes with: 100 x 12g 35 hex washer face type 17 Fortress screws
